        Nerve pain can continue for months. Mine went more than six. TV commercials act like it is a rash that lasts a few days. Get the vaccine. I was on the waiting list a few years back when I got shingles. Wracks your brain for sure. Pisses you off. Skin is the largest organ in the body.

        I doubt the intense pain will last long. Nerve pain from surgery isn't quite the same but shingles hits the nerves hard.
