(one per summer).

Since I don't drive I took a 2 week bus trip across the US, stopping at different places. Then the next sunmer up to So Dakota, Denver and back to the SW.

In the first trip I also met up w a friend who was heading to TX from Calif (then back to nyc) in Flagstaff, AZ.

We rented a car (he drove), and had a 2 1/2 day trip. Visited the Navajo & Hopi Nations, got to a motel, then next day Canyon de Chelly, then drove, and slept overnight in our sleeping bags in Monument Valley before heading back to Flagstaff.

I love the greeness of the Mid-Atlantic/NYC area. I also love the sculpturalness, and colors of the high desert! It was a blessing, and amazing to experience it!
