1. My English teacher in 1969 thought it more important to teach English with music.

Dude was a young Jesuit scholastic, hiding out from the Viet Nam War Machine. He turned me on to "Suzanne".....this song made a lifelong impact on me.

Oh yeah, he played a lot of North-of-the-Border songwriters. Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, The Band, Jesse Winchester, etc. And other stuff like the Rev. Gary Davis and Mississippi John Hurt. And we'd discuss the lyrics like they were modern day poetry and , I guess. Whatever, the music and words have stuck with me.

I think this was also a tune we listened to and discussed.
