Because Cui Bono Posted that BT&H Crossroads [View all]

This weekend i watched the Ralph Macchio/Joe Seneca movie Crossroads. There is some FINE guitar playing going on in that movie.

All the guitar parts are either played by Ry Cooder or Steve Vai. The real bluesy/slide stuff (when Ralph is playing the guitar) is Cooder. The Vai plays his own stuff as Jack Butler, but he plays that cool arpeggio thing in the "head cutting" duel at the end.

Cooder's playing is very laid back and tasty, while Vai is, well, Vai. Harmonically sophisticated, precise and fast as lightning.

Just thought i'd pop that disc in, and i'm glad i did.

If you haven't seen it, and you're a guitar player, you should.
