Gerry Mulligan's old horns are up for auction ... [View all]

although the bari (a Conn, believe it or not) was donated by the Gerry and Franca Mulligan foundation, there is no indication if the proceeds go to charity or not.

Bidding starts at $40,000, for those interested. The case is described as "very worn" (Hell yeah!).

His tenor is also up for sale, starting at $60,000 (well, it IS a Selmer).
