From link in OP:

“Arizona is on the front lines of a war that Washington ignored until President Trump took action. This resolution gives the Trump Administration another tool to defend our state, uphold the rule of law, and protect innocent lives,” said state Rep. Steve Montenegro (R) in a press release.

I live in southern AZ. I can see Mexico! During the Biden years, border security was beefed up with more CBP personnel, newer facilities and equipment. The surveillance towers CBP asked for back in Trump 1.0 got installed under Biden. CPB picked up a lot more criminals, 'load cars' driven by US citizens, mostly young teens recruited by people in Maricopa (Phoenix, where most wealthy and powerful Arizonians live). The border WAS being protected as well as possible. It was working. Illegal crossings went down. Drug runners were being busted, but most drugs come in thru other means/routes, often via boats and planes.

Now, with Trump 2.0? Yeah, we have the US Army driving military combat vehicles back and forth along 'the wall' but very few actual apprehensions. We have US ARMY units sent here to actively enforce law on public and private lands. Prelude to things that will come? Military law enforcement? There is no 'invasion' and no insurrection. But we are expected to accept/get used to the US Military doing law enforcement? We are being conditioned to accept the unconstitutional!

Fascism has its ugly foot planted firmly in the doorway of our democracy and it's going to get worse.
