Almonds, pistachios, rice, etc., are preferable to the water intensive factory farm meat and dairy industries which are bad for the environment, bad for the workers, and worse for the animals.

Personally, I don't care about the price of a pound of ground beef or a gallon of milk. These are not things you'll find in my refrigerator.

Rice and nuts are staples in my pantry.
