The Shasta County Board of Supervisors includes and is beholden to Qanon adjacent conspiracy theorists, voting machine extremists, hand count proponents, gun rights absolutists, self dealers and other weirdos. They claim transparency while delivering anything but. Folks who have pushed back against them have been harassed and attacked, both in meetings and the dark of night. For years.

The county has fundamentalist church that believes the Lord’s work is building and taking over businesses to fill the church’s coffers. They’ve got measles. They’ve got tons of crack, and crackheads everywhere. Not a lot of attention being paid to the latter issues.
