Why is this the most hated State?

8. I'm a native Californian so I may be biased

Being a military brat and then serving in the military, I have lived in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Virginia, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama as well as visiting many more states, the thing I found was overall, Americans tend to be friendly. Each section and state has their own culture and when you visit another state your comparing their culture to yours. In most cases, we share similarities and other cases we scratch our heads saying "What/why are they doing that?"

I've lived in Northern California (Sacrament and Sunnyvale), Central California (Victorville) and Southern California (San Diego) and each has their positives and negatives. The climates of each area are different which makes California unique among the other states. Within 90 minutes, I can be at the beach (Pacific Ocean), in the mountains, or in the desert. As for the people, California is the most populous state with people who came from other states and countries so we are the diverse population in the nation and yet, somehow we make it work.

Having experienced life in different states, I would rather live in California than any other state despite its high cost of living. We have so much to do available to us that, IMO, living elsewhere is a step down in my standard of living. I'm not trying to disrespect other states but California has everything I need for a quality of life.
