If it happens ever. Many people come here (post air-conditioning) thinking it will just be sort of temporary, not really "home" in the sense that they care deeply about it, deeply enough to really care what happens to FL in future. It suits their needs, they imagine, for now--and look, no snow, yippee. But how many clothes can you take off when sweat is pouring in your eyes if you try to take a 10-minute walk outside at 11:00am in June? Believe me, global warming is hitting here fast, worse every year. There's a reason FL was the real last frontier in US before AC. That, and the predatory developers and politician/grifters--if you have a choice, give FL a pass.

As a longtime FL resident, move anywhere else but here--our summers are 9 months long and brutally humid.
