Mamdani draws 10,000 at Queens rally as early voting surges [View all]

Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani capped a busy weekend of early voting with the largest rally of his political career Sunday night, drawing an estimated 10,000 supporters to Queens’ Forest Hills Stadium.

“We climbed the polls faster than Andrew Cuomo could dial Donald Trump’s number,” Mamdani told the cheering crowd, recounting the last year of his campaign. “People started to learn how to pronounce my name.”

“Let our words ring out so loud that Andrew Cuomo can hear them in his $8,000 a month apartment,” he added. “That his puppet master in the White House hears us! New York is not for sale.”

Mamdani was joined by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, who urged voters to keep up the momentum ahead of the Nov. 4 election.
