2. I remember that ad so well - it was a revolution in political advertising.

Not sure if it's Joe Hasham in the polo neck, or Col Joye? We don't get a good closeup. Lots of other familiar faces, but can't recall all the names. But there was Bert Newtown and Bobby Limb (best thing he ever did, IMO), Jimmy Hannan, I think, and Judy Stone.

My enduring memory is the way Gough addressed us as "men and women of Australia" - it had such a ring to it, instead of the staid old "ladies and gentlemen". That's what sticks in my mind when I recall 1972; that and "It's Time".
