I worked on the fuel dock in Dutch Harbor Alaska seen on the deadliest catch tv show for seven years.

We went through thousands of 400 pound oil drums each year, I had steel toed boots and a type of tennis shoe, they also had metatarsal protection built in but you had to order that separately.

They saved my feet so many times over the years, but there is no flex to them whatsoever, I don't know about these days, this was in the 80's.

I had my right foot run over by a forklift at the toe, lots of pressure but it took the weight with no damage, a normal forklift has a thousand pound counterweight hanging off the rear so they did save my foot.
