1. Does this "Network" gibberish exist anywhere outside NYC?

Click the link for the "Maverick" Network youtube video and count how many meaningless educational cliches the
"leader" manages to squeeze into just 6 + minutes.

Leaving unanswered the questions:

Who exactly ARE you ?

and

What exactly do you DO?

and most importantly

How exactly are you compensated for your services?

Near as I can tell, the Network system is a scam to bloat the ranks of the upper bureaucracy ( "leaders" and "consultants" etc) which seems to be comprised of former or retired principals who get this gig via "old boy ( and old girl) network" ( no pun intended) connections.

Good way to enhance one's retirement income, no? And apparently its not illegal. ( Or IS it?) And no one *really* knows what's going on.

Also checkout the parents' link on the NYC DOE page ( there's a link to the DOE page on the SBS blog ): "Find Out Who is Supporting Your Child's School". ( It's broken. That's helpful.)
