World's First Domestic Hydrogen Gas Pipeline Network Completed in Scotland

A major milestone has been achieved in the realm of
green energy as the construction of the world's first domestic hydrogen gas pipeline network in Levenmouth, Fife, has been completed.
This groundbreaking project, H100 Fife, will utilize
green hydrogen gas produced from renewable electricity sourced from a local 7MW offshore wind turbine.
Set to go live next year, the 8.4km pipeline network is expected to provide residents in the area with the opportunity to become part of Scotland's inaugural
green hydrogen community by signing up for the H100 Fife trial.
The participants will be able to heat their homes and cook food without emitting carbon emissions.
This innovative initiative aims to provide valuable insights that will inform future low-carbon policy decisions for both Scotland and the UK, expected in 2026.
