My son decided to see what happened if he squeezed the seed and juice flew. When I took a sponge and wiped the juice spots off the wall, they left behind a blue spot. I guess it reacted with the paint finish (eggshell).

We all sampled it, but I just couldn't get into the 'crunchy' texture. It felt kind of like I was munching eggshells while drinking cranberry juice. The rest of my family thought it was great. Maybe if I find some recipe that uses it, I'll find it more appetizing. They're soooo pretty!
