10. Yair Golan: 'Gaza occupation will execute hostages, economy must be shut down'

Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan addressed the plan to occupy Gaza, claiming it would lead to the death of all hostages. In an interview with ynet studio, he said, "The entire issue of managing Gaza will fall on the IDF, and what are the costs? The death of all hostages and the death of dozens and hundreds of soldiers." Golan added: "The government is dragging the country into an unnecessary war that will complicate Israel's situation in every possible aspect – security, international and economic – we must resist. I call on citizens to shut down the economy. We shouldn't wait for the Attorney General or the Supreme Court, the government anyway despises the rule of law."
