Month #8 of the feeding tube blues [View all]

All I have to say to people who have had chemo and radiation on your throats is that the healing process is long and not fun .
Don't let anyone hurry you or make you feel lousy because you can't eat like you used to .Everyone is different in this recovery process
so there is no set amount of time before you get saliva and taste buds back plus what we crave is what is the hardest to stuff down your throat.

Some doctors have told me to push myself and suffer while others say it's just time that heals .....

if anyone wants to commiserate with someone who has to eat thru a gross tube ---I'm here alive and OH SO HUNGRY .
