we are facing a similar challenge of another drug as an 'insurance policy' but it has possible negative effects and there are no clear paths after a second allogeneic transplant. Part of me is to 'first do no harm' but if it comes back I'll be questioning the decision, the docs are leaving it up to us as there are no stats to go on. We can be in limbo for a few more weeks, tough decision and trying to read, but the science still has not developed enough to sway one decision over another. Which is why they are leaving the decision up to us, they do not know what to do and the guinea pig analogy is quite appropriate.

Hope we make the correct choice!
