I've been in HR for a dozen years and unfortunately part of too many terminations. There are absolutely no warnings signs that I can tell.

A guy whose hobby was building guns from scratch went meekly and I never heard from him again.
A woman who was seemingly normal, but unproductive lost her shit and threw a laptop across the room at me.

I've developed something of an instinct, but I don't rely on it. Chances are he's a little punk who will bluster and then slink away to get another job only to lose that one in a matter of weeks. All while not learning one damn thing because he will always place the blame elsewhere than himself.
