My Thanksgiving boycott was very peaceful [View all]

I watched some film noir, played with the kid cats and puttered around. Took out the trash, just as it was getting dark so that counts as being productive, too.

My nephew in North Carolina called. I'm guessing he talked with his sister and brother and they told him I wasn't feeling up to a party. My brother stopped by with some apple pie, made by my niece, and Lumpia (kind of like a Filipina egg roll) made by another niece.

My un-thanksgiving feast was fish and chips and a mug of lovely hard cider. I don't know - somehow it just seemed appropriate for my mood.

Being able to skip out on Christmas would be wonderful but I think that's pushing things. Besides, I'm the only one who knows how to make the traditional Christmas soup from my mom's side of the family. At least it will be at my house so if I start feeling twitchy, I can just hide in my bedroom until the feeling passes.
