What sites do you use? [View all]

I have basically hit a wall on every branch with what I can find for "Free" (I do have a premium Ancestry membership, though a lot of my info has been found on free sites). I am not complaining. All my lines go back to the early 1800's, one back to the 1650's in Norway (thanks to a 2nd cousin who went to Norway and spent months figuring it out, Thank God for Norwegian Churches!), another one goes back to middle ages royalty (I lucked out on my paternal Grandmother. I can document her easily back to an Olive Welby, who has reams of documentation already done for me)

That's great and all, but I want to find out more about more "recent" ancestors that I am stuck on. I am willing to pay for it, to a point, but not if it is all information that I can already find for free. I also want to double, triple, quadruple check the info I already have.

I am actually really interested in Obits. The one I have been fortunate to read was a wealth of information. Not just growing my tree, but understanding who this person was.

What sites do you use that you feel are worth the $$$. I luckily have about 3 hours every day. I AM deaf, so appreciate things that don't involve phone work. I am also far from the places the people I am looking for would be found. I am in FL, but searching Germany, Norway, Bohemia (Czech Republic, don't let my grandma know I said she was Czech! lol), PA, OH, VA, WV, MN and ND.

Thanks for any info!
