Pick out the big ones so the little ones got room at their harvest time.

Spinach is no fail early crop as well as late season. However, eat carefully. Oxalates are one cause of kidney stones.

Watermelon are said to be good for kidneys and reduced risk of stones.

Carrots have lower risk of rodent damage.

Broccoli is fairly easy and regrows.

Cabbage. I found cauliflower to be more problematic a bit. Just a bit.

Marigolds to keep some insects away.

A variety of bell peppers is nice because I am told that the sugars are not the same inside. So, more than 1 color in a stir fry is more rounded flavor

One tomato plant per person was my estimate, plus 1 to spare. If more, get ready for big pots of tomato sauce.
