2. Plant it everywhere. The root system is HUGE! When you pull the plant, the roots remain.

Most of them are small fibrous feeder roots and they spread out way beyond the drip line. When you pull the plant, the roots remain and add organic material. The same is true with radishes. It doesn't matter if you use the "food" or not, you're helping all of the other plants. Everywhere and year-round is the rule.
