Has anyone in zone 4 started an asparagus bed by directly sowing seed? [View all]
I'm looking at having a bed about 42' long by 3' wide, as many in my family love asparagus, and getting crowns would be very pricey. 50 crowns would cost ten times as much as a packet of 125 seeds.
