ICU. The supervisor informed me that the patient had " an unfortunate outcome". Puzzled I asked what that meant. She leaned over and whispered in my ear " He died". I said out loud so everyone could hear..
Why didn't you just say he died. She seemed shocked at saying someone in a hospital died...
