Iced tea on a Summer's evening [View all]

I was thinking today about when I was a kid, back in the 1950‘s.
On warm summer evenings the family would gather under a big tree in front of our farm house, sit, and drink cold ice tea, hoping for a breeze.

There was a narrow country road that passed our place. Cars would occasionally drive by; they’d honk and wave, and we’d all wave back.

Life was simpler then ... sixty years ago.
