Pride and Prejudice is not an intellectual book. But it is a romance novel, so you have to like that as an occasional read. What I really like about it is the historical part of it----how life was for women at that time without the ability to inherit anything, so they had to have a husband. And I think that some of the characters are so funny, some so nasty....and of course some that you think are nasty who are not. I could go on forever, but it comes down to liking a good romance every once in a while.
