2. When I first saw that headline, I thought there was a typo in it.

I felt like I'd suddenly fallen through a time warp, when women were constantly referred to as "girls" in the news and elsewhere. Then I read the rest of the post and realized this miscreant is actually a pedo. In which case, I still don't like the headline, for different reasons. I think "children" would convey the full extent of the situation better than "girls." "Underage girls" would be more exact, but it adds a lot more additional characters. Either way, "girls" does not pack enough of a punch, imo. Not that it would make the whole thing any less disgusting, of course.
