of self-publishing for this precise reason: I call the shots. I am not beholden to someone who could arbitrarily reject my manuscript. Did you know that "The Celestine Prophecy" was rejected by over two dozen publishers? The author finally printed copies of the book himself and sold them out of his trunk at Unity churches (New Age Christian type) across the country. He then got a publisher and it was a monster smash.
