by the "home country" eligibility rules. I remember an Olympics some time ago where an athlete was competing for Italy, yet not only he but his parents were born in the US. I understand having pride in your lineage, but it seems a little sketchy to be going back two generations for eligibility. Meh, those grifters at the IOC never asked me for advice, so....
