2. Any bets on how many players honor the picket lines?

The Baseball Players Association has produced salaries and contracts into the multi-hundreds of millions of dollars for players. Does anyone believe that union will stand arm in arm with the hourly wage workers' union to protest for better treatment?

I am disgusted by everything baseball has become...since 1994 on it has been a craven, disgusting money grab and lost its connection to the common man and local neighborhoods. My father tells stories of getting to know the players of the 1950's White Sox teams because they worked off-season jobs in the neighborhood and talked among the fans regularly. When I was a college freshman, the MLB minimum salary was $32,000.00 - which was about 10% more than I earned my first year out of college. Today? The minimum MLB salary is $700,000.00. Ask any recent college graduate how much greater THAT is than their first year salary...

I would love to see the MLB player union acknowledge this, but there's no chance I'm gonna hold my breath waiting...
