This has Putin monkey wrench written all over it.

The IBA is corrupt, that’s a big reason the IOC (not exactly an ethics board themselves) doesn’t recognize them. They let Russians fight under the Russian flag just last year despite IOC sanctions.

I have to say that over the last two days I’ve seen a big turn on Twitter and even Facebook. People are finding out the actual story on Khelif and expressing it. A local news guy who’s usual pretty non-descript posting the facts in this on facebook which I thought was a bold move. He has 264,000 followers.
