Esp. in LA, for various reasons. Just sayin

The post-pandemic stat makes me wonder if the accident numbers in general are up similarly? Or are just more accidents ending up fatal? Maybe people are driving vehicles that are less safe in a higher percentage than they were prior to the pandemic? Like people aren't buying as many new cars since then and the aging cars are less safe due to more wear or less safety features?
