finally took it in a week or so ago to a regular shop as the guy had put his tools in storage and "retired" from working on autos for a while (I have no idea what that means other than I ended up paying a lot more than I thought). apparently one needs to install some sort of a shim kit if the cylinders (or cylinder head, now I forget, I am betting the head?) have ever been resurfaced. Since I had no idea of that answer as I have only had the darn thing about 18 months, and they couldn't seem to get the measurements clearly that added a few bucks to the deal but it will allow them to give a lifetime guarantee on the rest of the work.

I got the call too late on Friday so I can't go get it until tomorrow. But it will be nice to have my fun little blue truck back!
