Juan Soto is so disheartening [View all]

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/8WM5y1UukOA

A superbly talented young man making $765 million can’t be bothered to hustle down the first base line with a runner at third, just like he couldn’t be bothered to swing a bat one time last year and took three pitches for strikes.

He’ll likely make it to Cooperstown, and when he does, they should put on his plaque that he was an all-world talent who gave terrific effort when he felt like it.

Ohtani’s also set for life, is taking deferred money, which has helped the Dodgers repeat. He’s just the second four-time MVP in history, the first 50-50 man ever and will likely have more MVPs and more rings when it’s all said and done, putting him in GOAT conversation.

And I’m neither a Mets or Dodgers fan (I’m on the rollercoaster ride of being a lifelong Cubs fan), but stuff like this just flat out embarrassing for the game.

Aside from the Cubs, Colson Montgomery (know him and his family on a professional basis) and the postseason, I have nothing to do with my favorite sport anymore, mainly because of all Manfred’s asinine changes. I’d rather just go on YouTube and watch a game from 1976 or 1986 than 2026.
