I got a call this morning from a woman I know politically and she told me that a seat had just opened on our county government "quorum court" and it is a governor appointment...ours is a dem. I have no idea if it pays a thing; it would be a good opportunity to get into politics without having to spend a cent or minute on campaigning and I would have some impact as it would change the court back to dem side.

My partner is kind of not really for it...we run our own business and I do most of the work on the day to day. I have to make my decision today as the opening is very small window of time.
