Feb 2012

This month seems to be a perfect time to revive the Prayers, Light and Healing Thread!

I must admit that I’ve never really given much thought to March other than to welcome the first day of Spring (and celebrate my son’s birthday on the Ides of March). It was just another month to bear through as I waited for Spring.

As I've been gathering my ideas by reading through March facts, legends, and holiday origins, it has been very enlightening. March was originally the first month of the Roman calendar until Julius Caesar changed it to number 3. March is named after the Roman God of War Mars. This is the month of Lent, Easter, Passover, St. Patrick’s Day, Ostara, the Vernal Equinox, etc. What a busy month!
Oh, and it's also National Umbrella Month!

Per request, I’ll get the March Thread up shortly, so it'll be the "Last week of February into March" edition.

If anyone feels inspired to host in future months, just let me know. I’ll keep it going in the meantime, as it has a special energy that I feel grows as we all add to it.
