The bible is FULL of hypocrisy. You have to be a very needy person to believe that book is not a novel. A well-written novel, but still a novel.
You have to give credit to the author(s) who wrote about a boat that could carry EVERY living thing and expect the reader to believe that drivel. Btw, where DID all that water come from??
And then, not long after, write about a man who calls down bears from the mountains to slaughter 42 children who mock him...and still wants the reader to believe in a merciful GOD.
