3. I often make mental maps of machines that offer my favorite drinks,

based on price, distance, particular flavors etc. One of my favorites was a small neighborhood milk distributor that had a machine that vended various types of milk in cute little glass bottles, (kept a couple).

Something else you can observe is when a drink is on its way out. It will slowly start to disappear from the machines that it is branded to. One such drink was Asahi Craft Cola. Being a soda aficionado, I had such high praise for this cola I actually rated it on par with or better than Coke. It contained a very Japanese ingredient, shiso leaf. Some of these drinks are rotated in market tests. I hope this one is revived.
