"constituents" that corrupt politicians listen to when passing obscene "guns for everyone" and "carry guns anywhere" laws. American voters seldom have a say in either the formulation, or the passing of these laws.

The NRA apologists will say that the NRA doesn't "spend that much money" on buying politicians, and that is technically true. ALEC, the Koch Brothers, and other right-wing PACs spend the money to buy politicians on their behalf.
