...that point is weakened by the fact that the Sparks are tied for worst team in the league.
Selling a game between a dominant team (2nd nest record for the year) & the worst team in the other conference is tough.
I think it might seem forced; "trying too hard" in a sense.
If it was the Sun vs. Lynx, or Clark was involved (household name/up & coming team), it may have been an easier historic event to sell.
Finally, the Liberty played at MSG this year, so I think this is a little less historic the DiJoani suggests.
