This is a guy who

1. Violated his oaths of office;
2. Crossed state lines in commission of a felony;
3. Spent a FORTUNE in government money to rent hotel roomS;
4. Hired prostitutes;
5. Took "business trips" on government funds to meet up with said prostitutes;
6. And did all this on MULTIPLE occasions.
7. Oh, and then he cried and whined and said he was "addicted to sex."

Anyone who would behave so recklessly and stupidly just to get a little swerve on might well be willing to say anything to keep getting busy. His track record is simply not his ally with regard to this matter. To try to pretend that he's speaking solely from a high-minded perspective is just not believable.
