1. The U.S. spends more on health care than any other nation but a large portion of it is for profits. Private for profit

hospitals, for profit health insurance and equity owned medical practices, clinics and urgent care facilities. We don't pay just for health care we have to pay enough to provide a layer of profit at every level of care and I haven't even mentioned pharmaceutical companies.
The pharmaceutical companies that benefit from tax supported research that is then immediately handed over to our for profit only pharmaceutical companies.
