Though I'm sure his father would never have approved. He berated his eldest son (Mary's father) constantly because instead of continuing in the family business, he followed his dream of becoming a pilot at the start of the jet age. And his father took to calling him "a bus driver in the sky" which his younger brother Donald echoed. It would also have helped if Donald had learned to sign his name legibly.
