1. He never understood that tariffs would force companies to raise PRICES TO THE CONSUMER..... or

2. He understood...... but knew his rabid followers would believe his lies.

(MAGAs are not known for doing their own research. They're BIG on belief in BULLSHIT because it's easier.)
