16. "The media..."

I'm not poking at anyone in particular but I would like a definition of "media"...network? Cable? Which cable?

For what it's worth "network" news (ABC, NBC, CBS) is not a serious source of political news. They will cover one or two events maybe in a 30 minute segment when a progressive cable channel will spend all day on many events.
