This is why we need ranked choice voting, and for people to understand it.

To be clear, I have no idea what Stein's position is on Israel, but let's assume for argument's sake that it's to the anti-Israel side compared with either Harris or Trump. So, those people voted "for" the person who supported their preferred position - but in our system, someone who would not win - meaning their vote failed to HELP defeat someone who is arguably much worse for their position than the other major candidate.

It is unfortunate that many voters don't understand how our system works.
