Trump will announce that his dream of reopening Alcatraz has been accomplished: promises kept.

The right wing and MAGA media - including the New York Times - will pretend that Trump's statements about reopening Alcatraz always meant Alcatraz-like structures, and that he's a brilliant idea man, and that liberals are so square always taking him literally. Other conservative governors will open their own X-Alcatraz detention facilities: a few will bite the idea of putting it in a swamp, but others will put theirs in a desert (Rattlesnake Alcatraz!), and yet others will place a detention facility in the middle of what they call the "inner city," assuming nobody would dare venture out of the detention center into the rough streets of, say, Memphis (Judgment Night Alcatraz!).

Hey, everybody, remember when we were going to re-open Alcatraz? Was that longer than two weeks ago?
