6. There are two types of measles: current measles is rubeola (red measles); the other is rubella ("German measles" )

If you do not have good records that make it clear you had "regular" measles infection as a child (rubeola, i.e., "red" measles) then you have two options:

1. have a titer drawn to see what your antibody level is.
2. Get the MMR regardless (not harmful to do so).

If you really had rubeola (regular measles circulating now), then your immunity should be lifelong. But, if in doubt, go to #1 or #2.
